Launched in 2015 by the Tom Lantos Institute, the Vanishing Points art project series examines antisemitism and questions concerning Jewish identity in different periods of the twentieth century.

The initial focus of Vanishing Points 1.0 was the 1944 Arrow Cross rule and the German occupation of Budapest. In the second part of the series, the exhibiting artists explored the events taking place in the countryside in the period between 1945 and 1948. Vanishing Points 3.0 dealt with the early Kádár era (1950s and 1960s). Vanishing Points 4.0 examined the issues of antisemitism and Jewish identity in the period of the regime change following the fall of the Iron Curtain. 

The art creations were exhibited both virtually on the Tumblr page, and physically in the  Trafó Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in Budapest.

The art project is curated by Tamás Don, who was awarded with the Ludwig Museum’s ARTtransfer Prize for advancing transmission and popularity of contemporary art in 2020.

Vanishing Points 4.0 continued in 2022 with educational sessions at the Karinthy Frigyes secondary school. The students' artworks were published in a fanzine and presented at the ISBN könyv+ art gallery in June 2022.
