As part of its new project,TLI plans to develop a database of Hungarian Jewish studies.
In 2023, we will begin the process of designing the database. Our preliminary research will map existing relevant databases and critically analyze them in light of the project's objectives. Using the research findings, we will determine the format of the database, identify its uses, and then devise its basic structure.
In addition to collecting information about scholars, their publications, areas of expertise, and research interests, the project also aims to increase the visibility of Hungarian scholars and facilitate a dialogue between Hungarian and international scholars, and contribute to the establishment of an epistemic community of scholars focusing on Hungarian Jewry.
