On 3-4 December 2015 the Tom Lantos Institute, the Mozaik Jewish Community Hub and the Mazsihisz Youth Council co-organised a workshop entitled Discussion about Strategic Goals of Jewish Youth. The event gathered 15 participants representing 12 Jewish community organisations, programs and initiatives.
The aim of the workshop was to create a community platform by launching a forum connecting young Jewish leaders and activists, enabling them to meet regularly and to have a continued dialogue about current issues and the future of the Jewish community.
The organisers of the forum wanted to provide a safe space and environment for discussion and constructive debate, and would like to encourage participants to create common reference points and a common language.
Through moderated discussion the participants of the two-day workshop dealt with issues and questions that help map and understand the Hungarian Jewish community. Additionally, invited experts helped the group discuss important topics, such as community communication, strategy-building and transparency.
