Training Course for Roma Pupils: Responding to Prejudice 2019

The Tom Lantos Institute worked with a group of experts to develop a training course to support Roma pupils in responding to prejudice they experience, using various verbal communication tools.

We piloted the programme in small group settings, where the experiences and knowledge of participants were used to model biased situations. The first pilot event was held in Pécs in May 2019 within the framework of the after-school support programme of the Kethanipe Association. The second event was organised in September 2019, in Tomor, and the third training event took place at the children’s home on Alföldi street, operated by the Child Protective Services of Budapest.
