In 2019, the Tom Lantos Institute mapped out and categorised most educational projects focusing on the Holocaust, antisemitism, and Jewish history and culture that were implemented between 2014 and 2018 in Hungary. This year, we began the preparation for the development of an online database for education professionals. This database that will make these initiatives and related materials available and searchable.
In addition, the Institute is working with experts to develop a teachers training programme that addresses antisemitism. The educational programme will be piloted and evaluated in 2021 in at least seven educational institutions.
The education programme and online database are co-financed by the European Commission’s ‘Rights, Equality and Citizenship’ Programme.
